10:54 AM EST, 01/03/2025 (MT Newswires) -- IceCure Medical ( ICCM ) said Friday it has received an intention to grant notice from the European Patent Office for its cryoablation technology, which destroys tumors by freezing instead of surgical removal.

The technology was "designed to improve safety and maintain the integrity of cryogen used in the cryoablation procedure," the company said.

The technology was recently given a patent in the US, IceCure said.

The company's were 0.8% higher in recent trading.
