05:06 PM EDT, 07/09/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Illumina ( ILMN ) said late Tuesday it has acquired Fluent BioSciences, a privately held developer of a highly differentiated single-cell analysis technology.

Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The deal adds "significant and new capabilities to our customers in a key growth area and advances our multiomics growth strategy," said Illumina ( ILMN ) Chief Technology Officer Steven Barnard.
