10:59 AM EST, 01/13/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Illumina ( ILMN ) said Monday it will combine its sequencing technologies and connected software with Nvidia's ( NVDA ) artificial intelligence tools to analyze and interpret large amounts of multiomic data to advance clinical research, genomics AI development, and drug discovery.

Initially, Illumina ( ILMN ) said it will work to make its Dragen algorithms compatible with Nvidia GPUs to expand access to Illumina's ( ILMN ) multiomic analysis.

Nvidia's ( NVDA ) image processing and single-cell tertiary analysis tools will also be integrated into Illumina's ( ILMN ) Connected Software multiomics module, Illumina ( ILMN ) added.

Illumina's ( ILMN ) shares were up 4.8%, while Nvidia ( NVDA ) shares were down 2.7% in recent trading.
