09:05 AM EDT, 07/15/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Imax ( IMAX ) said Wednesday it has entered into a strategic partnership with Imax China, and Goer Dynamics to develop the world's first Imax ( IMAX )-branded in-vehicle entertainment system.

The system will include multi-dimensional acoustic architecture and a calibrated high-definition video display, aiming to meet demand for immersive entertainment as autonomous vehicles become more widely available, according to a statement.

The first systems are expected to enter commercial production by the end of the year, Imax ( IMAX ) said.

Goer Dynamics and Imax ( IMAX ) will co-market the systems to premium auto manufacturers across China, the statement said.
