IMAX Prices $220 Million Convertible Senior Notes Offering

04:13 AM EST, 11/04/2025 (MT Newswires) -- IMAX ( IMAX ) said late Monday it priced a private offering of $220 million principal amount of 0.75% convertible senior notes due 2030.

The initial purchasers were granted a 13-day option to purchase up to $30 million additional amount of notes, the company said.

The notes will be convertible at an initial rate of $42.42 per share.

Net proceeds, estimated to be about $212 million or $241.1 million if initial purchasers acquire additional notes, will be used to fund certain capped call transactions, note repurchases, working capital, share repurchases, and other general corporate purposes, the company said.

Settlement of the notes is expected to occur on Thursday, subject to customary closing conditions.

IMAX ( IMAX ) also said it entered into transactions with holders of its 0.5% convertible senior notes due 2026 to repurchase $229.7 million of the 2026 notes, using about $276 million.
