Impact BioMedical Receives US Patent for Method for Controlling Infectious Diseases

09:23 AM EDT, 08/18/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Impact BioMedical ( IBO ) said Monday that the US Patent and Trademark Office has issued a patent related to its composition and method for controlling infectious diseases with functional fragrances, which was developed within the company's 3F technology platform.

The biotech company said the patent includes compositions and formulations of fragrances produced by plants with potential application as an antibacterial or antiviral agent.

The patent will expire on Dec. 7, 2038, the company said.

Shares of Impact BioMedical ( IBO ) were up about 4% in recent premarket activity Monday.
