06:46 AM EDT, 05/23/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Imperial Metals ( IPMLF ) late on Thursday reported drill results from the Mount Polley copper-gold project in British Columbia, which is in its first phase of diamond drilling.
Notable intervals include 152.5 meters grading 0.46% copper and 0.97 grams per tonne gold from a depth of 282.5 meters, including 85 meters grading 0.67% copper and 1.56 g/t gold from 285 meters in the C2 Zone.
The C2 Zone is located south of the Cariboo Pit. Gold values in the mineralization of the C2 Zone exceed copper values, and copper mineralization is oxidized, resulting in lower copper recovery in processing.
As a result, the company is giving exploration priority to the C2 Zone, taking into account the recent increase in gold price.
