Imperial Oil's Sherri Evers Taking New Post at Exxon Mobil

08:10 AM EST, 01/10/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Imperial Oil ( IMO ) on Friday said Sherri Evers, its Senior Vice President, Sustainability, Commercial Development and Product Solutions will move to become Exxon Mobil's ( XOM ) North America Lubes General Manager on March 1.

The oil producer and refiner, 69.6% owned by Exxon, said Evers played a role in the development of its renewable-diesel project at its Strathcona refinery near Edmonton, Alberta, as well in the company's efforts to lower carbon emissions.

"I would like to thank Sherri Evers for her contributions and strong leadership as part of the management team over the last four years ... Her leadership was critical in plans to reduce greenhouse gas emissions at our operations, and she was instrumental in the formation of the Pathways Alliance to reduce emissions from oil sands operations and has been an active participant on the steering committee," Chief Executive Brad Corson said in a release.

Evers replacement will be named at a later date.

Imperial shares closed down $0.72 to $94.53 Thursday on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
