#1. Kuwait: The oil-rich Arab country located on the Persian gulf may be home to thousands of expatriates, but it is still the worst place for an expat to live in the planet.

#2. Italy: Home to a growing number of migrants from across West Asia and Africa, Italy has found itself at the wrong end of the list. As per the report, the country is the second-worst place for an expat to live. (Reuters/Tony Gentile )

#3. Nigeria: It may be one of the major economies in the African continent, but it is still way behind when it comes to the treatment of its expat population.

#4. Brazil: The South American nation is not only a tourist heaven but also one of the fastest-growing economies on the planet. However, the country is also the fourth-worst destination for an expat. (Reuters/Pawel Kopczynski)

#5. Turkey: Another nation from the West Asian region to make it to the list is Turkey, occupying fifth position.

#6. India: While India may be trying to project itself as a global economic hub, it still has a long way to go when it comes to the treatment of the expat population.

#7. The UK: The United Kingdom is one of the prime destinations for migrants from across the world but it isn't doing a particularly good job of treating them.

#8. Greece: From economic meltdown to becoming the epicentre of migrants from West Asia, Greece has seen everything. (AP Photo/Petros Giannakouris)

#9. Russia: While the country may be a favourite destination for students and personalities not aligned with western views, it is still a long way from becoming a welcoming place for expats. (REUTERS/Maxim Shemetov)

#10. South Korea: The economic powerhouse from the Far East isn't doing as good when it comes to the treatment of expats.
