India approves policy to boost e-vehicle manufacturing

NEW DELHI, March 15 (Reuters) - India on Friday approved

a new policy to boost manufacturing of electric vehicles in the

country by allowing automakers to import some cars at a lower

tax rate in exchange for setting up domestic production

facilities.
