Low-cost airline, IndiGo, on Tuesday appointed Ronojoy Dutta as the principal consultant with immediate effect.
Dutta, a global aviation veteran, will report to interim chief executive officer Rahul Bhatia and his primary responsibility will be to develop a five-year business plan for the airline.
He was the president of Air Sahara for two years, headed United Airlines and Air Sahara and was a board member at US Airways.
Prior to this, he was the president of United Airlines, where he worked for nearly twenty years before moving to US Airways where he became the strategic advisor and member of the board.
Dutta is a graduate from the Indian Institute of Technology and has received his management degree from Harvard School Business.
