With cyclone Fani expected to hit the Odisha coast on Friday, budget carrier IndiGo on Thursday said that all flights to and from Bhubaneswar Airport stand cancelled for May 3, 2019.
Also, IndiGo has cancelled all flights to and from Visakhapatnam Airport for May 2. The passengers of these flights can opt for alternate options or get a refund. "Due to Cyclone Fani, flights to and from Visakhapatnam have been cancelled for today (May 2, 2019)," the airline tweeted.

It should be noted that Cyclone Fani is expected to make landfall near Puri between 10: 00 AM and 12: 00 PM on May 3.
The cyclone had intensified into 'extremely severe cyclonic storm' and was located around 450 km from Puri in Odisha, 260 km from Andhra Pradesh's Vishakhapatnam and 700 km from Digha in West Bengal at 5:30 on Thursday morning.
Navy and Coast Guard ships and helicopters, relief teams of the National Disaster Response Force have been deployed in strategic locations, while Army and Air Force units have been put on standby as severe cyclonic storm 'Fani' is approaching towards India's eastern coast.
