India’s budget carrier, IndiGo, on Thursday said it will operate daily non-stop flights from Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai and Hubli to Kannur from January 25, 2019.
From March 15, 2019, IndiGo will also operate daily international flights between Kannur and Doha and six-days a week service between Kannur and Kuwait.
The introduction of these flights would provide connectivity between Kannur and other key cities with all-inclusive fares starting at Rs 1,299, said a press release.
"Kannur will be the fourth airport in Kerala that IndiGo is starting operations from, and, with the launch of these new international services, IndiGo now operates 66 daily non-stop flights between India and the Middle East," said William Boulter, chief commercial officer, IndiGo in a statement.
Currently, the carrier flies to six Gulf cities — Dubai, Muscat, Doha, Sharjah, Kuwait and Abu Dhabi from India.
