Inditex is well positioned to face tariff uncertainty, CEO says
Mar 12, 2025 4:41 AM

ARTEIXO, Spain (Reuters) - The world's largest listed fashion retailer Inditex is well positioned to face the uncertainty about tariffs around the world as it sources its products in a wide range of different countries, Chief Executive Oscar Garcia Maceiras said on Wednesday.

"We believe we are in condition to adapt to any new circumstance that could happen on tariffs in the world," he told reporters during the presentation of annual results.

Inditex, which owns the Zara brand, has production in 50 countries, he said.

U.S. President Donald Trump has announced tariff increases on many goods shipped from a wide array of countries around the world, triggering retaliation from a series of them, and fuelling concerns about their negative impact on world trade and economic growth.
