Amid the back-to-back biopic releases in Bollywood, another one is in the works — filmmaker Sanjay Tripathy is working on a project on the life of Infosys co-founder Narayana Murthy, reported Mint, citing two executives aware of the development.

“About eight months back, Tripathy first expressed interest to make a movie on Murthy. Tripathy met Murthy at his home a couple of times and after much deliberation, Murthy approved the project,” one of the executives was quoted as saying in the report.
According to the report, the legendary entrepreneur had made it clear to those who approached him that the facts cannot be distorted in the movie. “It is known that Murthy took an Rs 10,000 loan from wife Sudha to start the company. This cannot be twisted. But what was discussed between them can be shown according to what the director thinks is best,” another executive was quoted as saying.
While no comments were available from Murthy regarding the matter, a source told the paper that in addition to the movie, one could soon expect a book on Infosys by Murthy.
Murthy, son of a school teacher, was an alumni of IIT Kanpur. In his 30s he quit his job as a programmer with Patni Computer Systems and started Infosys in Pune, with his home serving as the office.
