Ingredion to Invest $50 Million to Expand Industrial Starches Production in Iowa

04:15 AM EST, 02/28/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Ingredion ( INGR ) said late Thursday it is investing $50 million in its Iowa facility to modernize and increase the production of industrial starches for the packaging and papermaking industries.

Demand is growing to deliver against "more stringent requirements for strength, biodegradability, and recyclability," Rob Ritchie, the company's senior vice president of food and industrial ingredients for Latin America and US/Canada, said.
