Innoviz Gets Deal to Supply LiDAR Units; Shares Rise

10:44 AM EDT, 06/17/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Innoviz Technologies ( INVZ ) shares rose over 15% in recent Tuesday trading after it struck a deal to supply its light detection and ranging, or LiDAR, units for an original equipment manufacturer's Level 3 autonomous system.

Innoviz ( INVZ ) said it will develop hardware and software modifications to its InnovizTwo LiDAR for integration into the OEM's vehicle system, with start of production planned for 2027.

The company said it will supply several hundred LiDAR units over the coming months, which will allow the OEM and the platform provider to meet the project's timeline.
