Volvo Bus Corporation has launched the world’s first full size, autonomous electric bus. The single-deck Volvo Electric bus is 12 metres long and has a full capacity of 80 passengers.

The Volvo 7900 electric bus is equipped with numerous sensors and navigation controls managed by a comprehensive artificial intelligence (AI) system.

In an interview to CNBC-TV18, Aakash Passey, senior vice president, spoke on how emerging economies, especially India can adopt a sustainable e-mobility model and company’s growth plans with regards to India.
