Inszone Insurance Services Expands in the Midwest with Acquisition of Ohio Valley Insurance
Mar 17, 2026 11:10 AM

SACRAMENTO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

Inszone Insurance Services, a rapidly growing national provider of commercial, personal, and benefits insurance solutions, is pleased to announce its expansion in the Midwest through the acquisition of Ohio Valley Insurance, an established independent insurance agency with deep roots in agricultural and crop insurance.

Ohio Valley Insurance traces its origins to 2003, when it was founded by Dan Hardaway as Ohio Valley Crop Insurance. The agency initially focused on serving the specialized needs of farmers and agricultural businesses in the region. In 2007, Allan Murray joined the firm, becoming a co-owner in 2012. As the agency’s capabilities expanded beyond crop insurance, the business rebranded in 2014 as Ohio Valley Insurance to reflect its broader range of offerings. Lindsey Hagan, Hardaway’s daughter, became a co-owner in 2021, continuing the family’s legacy while helping guide the agency’s growth.

Over the years, Ohio Valley Insurance has built a strong reputation for expertise in crop and agricultural insurance, along with personalized service tailored to rural communities and family-run operations. As the insurance marketplace continues to evolve, Murray and Hagan recognized the opportunity to align with a national platform that could enhance resources, expand market access, and support long-term growth—without sacrificing the relationships that define their business.

“Partnering with Inszone allows us to strengthen what we already do well,” said Allan Murray, Co-Owner of Ohio Valley Insurance. “This move gives our clients access to a broader network, additional carriers, and enhanced support, while allowing us to remain closely involved and continue serving our community with the same care and expertise.”

The addition of Ohio Valley Insurance also represents an important step in Inszone’s continued expansion into the agricultural and crop insurance sector. By bringing specialized expertise into its growing national platform, Inszone plans to further develop and expand its agricultural capabilities to better serve farming communities and agricultural businesses across the Midwest and beyond.

“Ohio Valley Insurance has built a trusted name by focusing on agricultural clients and understanding the unique risks they face,” said Chris Walters, CEO of Inszone Insurance Services. “We’re excited to welcome Allan, Lindsey, and the entire Ohio Valley team to Inszone and look forward to working closely with them as we leverage their deep expertise in crop and agricultural insurance. Together, we see a strong opportunity to continue expanding Inszone’s presence in this important industry while supporting the communities and clients they’ve served so well.”

The Ohio Valley Insurance team will remain in place, continuing to serve clients locally with the added backing, technology, and market access of Inszone Insurance Services. Murray will stay on with Inszone, maintaining his active role in client service and agency leadership.
