Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger Retires

08:46 AM EST, 12/02/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Intel ( INTC ) said Monday that Chief Executive Pat Gelsinger retired from the company and stepped down from the board of directors, effective Dec. 1.

Chief Financial Officer David Zinser and Michelle Johnston Holthaus have been named interim co-CEOs while the board conducts a search for the next CEO, Intel ( INTC ) said. Holthaus, who previously served as general manager of Intel's ( INTC ) Client Computing Group, was also appointed to a newly-created position of CEO of Intel Products.

Intel Products includes the company's Client Computing Group, Data Center and AI Group, as well as Network and Edge Group.
