Intel Lowers 2025 Expense Outlook After Altera Sale

07:49 AM EDT, 09/15/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Intel ( INTC ) said Monday in a Form 8-K filing that it now expects full-year 2025 non-GAAP operating expense of $16.8 billion, down from prior outlook of $17 billion, following the deconsolidation of its programmable chip unit, Altera.

Analyst estimates were not available for comparison.

Intel ( INTC ) said the sale of a 51% stake in Altera to Silver Lake was completed on Sept. 12.

The company said its full-year 2026 operating expense outlook remains unchanged at $16 billion.
