Interactive Brokers Extends Trading Hours for US Treasury Bonds

02:42 PM EDT, 04/25/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Interactive Brokers Group ( IBKR ) said Thursday it has extended trading hours for US Treasury bonds on its platform, allowing global clients to trade for 22 hours each day.

The trading session closes at 5 pm ET, reopens at 8 pm EDT and continues until 5 pm the following day. The market operates from 7 pm to 5 pm during EST. The previous trading session was just nine hours per day, the brokerage firm said.

Shares of Interactive Brokers ( IBKR ) rose more than 1% in recent trading.
