05:11 AM EDT, 09/11/2025 (MT Newswires) -- InterDigital (IDCC) said Thursday it has been awarded a preliminary injunction against Disney ( DIS ) by a court in Brazil in a dispute over patent infringement.

InterDigital said that a court in Rio de Janeiro ruled that it is entitled to a preliminary injunction over Disney's ( DIS ) alleged infringement of two InterDigital patents related to video coding technology.

The decision followed the publication of a court-commissioned report which InterDigital said supported its position that Disney ( DIS ) infringed on the patents.

Disney ( DIS ) did not immediately reply to MT Newswires' request for comment.
