InterDigital Raises Q3 Outlook; Signs New License Deal With 'Major' Chinese Smartphone Vendor

05:03 AM EDT, 09/22/2025 (MT Newswires) -- InterDigital (IDCC) said Monday it has raised its Q3 outlook after signing a new license agreement with a "major Chinese smartphone vendor."

The company said it now expects Q3 non-GAAP earnings per share of $2.08 to $2.27 from the previous range of $1.52 to $1.72. Analysts polled by FactSet expect $1.74.

Revenue is now projected to be $155 million to $159 million, compared with the prior outlook of $136 million to $140 million. Analysts surveyed by FactSet expect $145.7 million.

InterDigital did not identify the new customer but said the license deal is expected to raise its projected annualized recurring revenue by about $26 million to a record $579 million.

Shares of the company added more than 3% in recent pre-bell Monday.
