09:09 AM EDT, 10/09/2025 (MT Newswires) -- InterDigital (IDCC) said Thursday it won a contract by the US Department of Defense to lead research into advanced spectrum sharing between military and civilian wireless systems to ensure both can operate without interference in the same frequency bands.

The company said it will work with partners DeepSig and Skylark Wireless to develop and test new technologies that use AI, sensing, and commercial 5G systems to improve how defense radar systems and wireless networks share mid-band spectrum.
