09:02 AM EDT, 09/10/2024 (MT Newswires) -- International Business Machines ( IBM ) said Tuesday it is updating Disney ( DIS ) backed ESPN's ( DIS ) fantasy football platform with new generative AI-based features.

The company said the upgrades use IBM's ( IBM ) Granite large language model and watsonx platform to provide personalized player grades and clearer explanations of these grades. The updates are expected to provide more detailed insights on player performance and trades, IBM ( IBM ) said.

The company said the update is part of IBM's ( IBM ) continued partnership with ESPN ( DIS ), now in its eighth year.
