08:30 AM EDT, 07/17/2024 (MT Newswires) -- International Business Machines ( IBM ) said Wednesday it secured a five-year contract with an initial $26 million in funding from the U.S. Agency for International Development for its Cybersecurity Protection and Response program.

The company said it would provide continuous assistance to the agency's program, which aims to bolster cybersecurity capabilities across governments and critical infrastructure in Europe and Eurasia, helping them to prevent, detect, respond to, and recover from cyber threats.
