International Business Machines to Receive AI Supercomputer Powered by CoreWeave

08:58 AM EST, 01/15/2025 (MT Newswires) -- International Business Machines ( IBM ) will receive one of the first NVIDIA GB200 Grace Blackwell superchip-enabled AI supercomputers from CoreWeave, CoreWeave said Wednesday.

CoreWeave said the system will feature NVIDIA GB200 NVL72 nodes, interconnected with NVIDIA Quantum-2 InfiniBand networking, and will be used to train the next generations of IBM's ( IBM ) Granite models.

The supercomputer will also incorporate IBM's ( IBM ) storage scale system and NVMe flash technology to provide high-performance storage for AI, data analytics, and other workloads, the company said.
