International Paper to Consider Building New Salt Lake City Packaging Facility

09:38 AM EDT, 06/03/2025 (MT Newswires) -- International Paper ( IP ) said Tuesday it will consider building a new sustainable packaging facility in Salt Lake City, Utah as part of its plans to expand manufacturing capabilities in the US.

The company said it is eyeing Utah to expand its footprint in the region and improve customer service by meeting the demand for sustainable packaging.

International Paper ( IP ) said it will announce information about capital investment, facility footprint and potential work opportunities at the proper time as part of its evaluation process.

Shares were down 0.9% in recent early trading.
