International Paper ( IP ) is weighing a move to gatecrash a 10

billion pound ($12.63 billion) merger of its London-listed

rivals, DS Smith ( DITHF ) and Mondi ( MNODF ), by tabling an

offer of over 5 billion pounds ($6.32 billion) for DS Smith ( DITHF ), a
