09:50 AM EST, 01/26/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Intuitive Surgical ( ISRG ) said Monday that the US Food and Drug Administration has approved its da Vinci 5 system for a number of cardiac procedures such as mitral valve repair and internal mammary artery mobilization for cardiac revascularization.

The company said the approval expands the indications of its da Vinci 5 surgical system, which features 3D vision and computer assistance, among others.

Intuitive Surgical ( ISRG ) said it will work with certain US sites in 2026 to establish da Vinci 5 cardiac programs.
