07:55 AM EDT, 05/23/2025 (MT Newswires) -- IonQ ( IONQ ) said Friday it signed a memorandum of understanding with South Korea's Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information, or KISTI, to deepen collaboration in quantum computing infrastructure.

The partnership will integrate IonQ's ( IONQ ) quantum systems with KISTI's supercomputing infrastructure and support initiatives in education, knowledge exchange, and market development, the company said.

IonQ ( IONQ ) and KISTI plan to launch training programs and internships to support South Korea's quantum research community, the company said.

The agreement builds on previous joint initiatives and complements IonQ's ( IONQ ) broader engagements in South Korea, including partnerships with SK Telecom and Seoul National University, the company said.

Shares of IonQ ( IONQ ) were down by more than 5% in recent Friday premarket activity.
