07:59 AM EDT, 09/10/2025 (MT Newswires) -- IonQ ( IONQ ) said Wednesday it is launching a new unit called IonQ Federal to focus on providing quantum computing and networking technologies to the US government and allies.

The company said the new unit will provide government customers with dedicated resources and integrate proprietary technologies to meet the needs of the federal and defense sectors.

Robert Cardillo has been appointed executive chairman of IonQ Federal and will continue to remain a board member, the company added.
