10:40 AM EDT, 04/30/2024 (MT Newswires) -- IPG Photonics ( IPGP ) said Tuesday it has appointed Mark Gitin as new chief executive, starting June 5.

Gitin, who currently oversees the Photonics Solutions Division at MKS Instruments ( MKSI ) , succeeds Eugene Scherbakov.

Scherbakov will remain a member of the company's board and serve as an adviser to the newly appointed CEO.
