07:55 PM EDT, 06/01/2026 (MT Newswires) -- A senior Iranian military adviser has warned that Iran's armed forces have little patience with the ongoing US blockade of Iranian ports and signaled Tehran's control over the Strait of Hormuz, Fox News reported Monday.

Mohsen Rezaei, a military adviser to Mojtaba Khamenei, said in a post on X that Iran "will not allow the continuation of the maritime blockade" and warned that escalating tensions in Lebanon "will not be tolerated," adding that the patience of Iran's armed forces "has its limits."

Separately, Iran's Revolutionary Guards' Quds Force commander Esmaeil Qaani warned that Israeli military operations in Lebanon and Gaza could prompt Iran and its allies to take steps affecting maritime traffic in both the Bab el-Mandeb Strait and the Strait of Hormuz, Iranian state media reported.
