Iridium Integrates Data Services in Qualcomm Snapdragon Mission Tactical Radio

07:45 AM EDT, 10/14/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Iridium Communications ( IRDM ) and Qualcomm's ( QCOM ) Qualcomm Technologies unit said Tuesday that they have integrated Iridium's data services into Qualcomm's ( QCOM ) Snapdragon Mission Tactical Radio.

The companies said they will make the services available to customers of the US government and approved allied partners. The services will provide devices, such as handheld and mounted radios, secure L-band satellite communications in areas where terrestrial networks are congested, compromised, or unavailable, they said.

Shares of Iridium and Qualcomm ( QCOM ) were down 1.8% and 1.4% respectively in recent premarket activity.
