08:31 AM EST, 11/06/2024 (MT Newswires) -- IsoEnergy ( ISENF ) on Wednesday said exploration drilling at its Larocque East Project in Saskatchewan's Athabasca basin showed uranium mineralization.
The company said the best results from its 13,015-meter, 30-hole, summer exploration program at the property included 2.0 meters testing at 3,410 radioactivity counts per second and 6.0 meters testing at 1,259 counts per second.
IsoEnergy ( ISENF ) said it is still awaiting assays on two thirds of cores from the program and expects to begin follow-up drilling in January.
"Our summer drill results at Larocque East are highly encouraging. The structural disruption, bleaching, desilicification and clay alteration intersected ... are all hallmarks of Athabasca uranium deposits. The significantly anomalous radioactivity and sandstone uranium geochemistry are indicative of the fertility of these alteration zones; and several kilometres of strike length along graphitic-pyritic conductor corridors east of the Hurricane Deposit provide ample exploration space for potential additional discoveries along the Hurricane trend," exploration vice-president Dan Brisbin said in a release.
The company also said it mailed shareholders a management information circular in support of its $126.8-million acquisition of Anfield Energy (AEC.C) to gain control of the Shootaring Canyon uranium mill in southeastern Utah. Shareholders will vote on the purchase on Dec.6.
IsoEnergy ( ISENF ) shares closed unchanged at $3.11 Tuesday on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
