Cigarette-to-soap maker giant, ITC, unveiled its Rs 800 crore luxury property, the Kohenur, at Hyderabad earlier this month.

Located in Hitec City, this five acre hotel comprises of 271 club rooms, suites and service apartments.

It overlooks the Durgam Cheruvu lake on one side and the city's business district on the other.

Speaking about Hyderabad's demand for luxury, Tejinder Singh, General Manager, ITC Kohenur, said, "All global firms have their offices in the city. It lies in the 'low seismic zone' region and is an ideal location for data centres."

"GES and World Congress IT are an indicator that many business summits will move here. The Kohenur will be a part of Hyderabad's economic boom," he added.

Shaped like the Kohinoor diamond, the property draws inspiration from the same for all art, architecture and design elements through the hotel.
