08:39 AM EDT, 08/26/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Ituran Location and Control ( ITRN ) said Tuesday it formed a partnership with Yamaha and BMW Motorrad in Brazil to integrate connected services into motorcycles, targeting the global two-wheeler market.
The company's satellite and cellular tracking, remote access, and 24/7 support network will now extend to riders in Brazil, where motorcycle theft is prevalent, it said.
Brazil was chosen as the launch market due to its size and Ituran's leading share in connected vehicle services, the company said.
Ituran will extend its telematics, recovery, and insurance services - already used by over 2.5 million car subscribers - to motorcycles, aiming to replicate its 85% vehicle recovery rate, it said.
The global motorcycle industry is projected to grow from $127 billion in 2025 to more than $200 billion by 2032, the company said.
