11:52 AM EDT, 06/07/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Ivanhoe Electric ( IE ) on Friday filed a registration statement with the Securities and Exchange Commission saying that its shareholder Saudi Arabian Mining Co. may sell up to about 11.8 million of its shares from "time to time."

The company said it will not receive any proceeds from the proposed sale.

Ivanhoe shares were more than 5% lower in recent trading.
