06:09 AM EDT, 09/15/2025 (MT Newswires) -- J Sainsbury said Sunday that it has terminated talks for the sale of its Argos general merchandise retailer business to JD.com ( JD ) .

According to J Sainsbury, JD.com ( JD ) said it is only prepared to engage in discussions over a "materially revised set of terms and commitments" that are not in the best interests of J Sainsbury shareholders.

No financial details were disclosed.

JD.com ( JD ) did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
