Jacobs Selected for Water Supply, Treatment Project in Northwest New Mexico

09:17 AM EDT, 10/22/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Jacobs (J) said Tuesday it was selected by the US Bureau of Reclamation to design and build the San Juan Lateral Water Treatment Plant in northwest New Mexico.

The $267 million project will supply water to around 250,000 people in 43 chapters of the Navajo nation, with an initial capacity to treat up to 18.8 million gallons per day and the ability to eventually double its capacity, the company said.

The project also includes commissioning of the San Juan Lateral distribution system as well as daily operations and maintenance.
