01:30 PM EST, 01/30/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Jacobs Solutions ( J ) said Thursday it was chosen by JXN Water to operate and maintain the water treatment system in Jackson, Mississippi.

The company said that under the 10-year contract, it will continue to manage the O.B. Curtis and J.H. Fewell water treatment plants and provide them with programmatic support and oversight.

The new contract follows a short-term operations and maintenance deal that gave more reliable drinking water to almost 180,000 residents in and around Jackson, the company said.

Jacobs shares rose more than 2% in recent trading.
