10:58 AM EDT, 08/27/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Jaguar Health ( JAGX ) said Tuesday its Napo Pharmaceuticals unit received a patent in Jordan for its crofelemer antidiarrheal drug.

The patent covers methods for treating short bowel syndrome, bile acid diarrhea, and diarrhea associated with small intestine resection or gallbladder removal in patients with an inhibitor of chloride-ion transport such as crofelemer, a plant-based prescription medicine, Jaguar said.

Shares of Jaguar Health ( JAGX ) were down more than 1% in recent trading.
