04:34 PM EDT, 05/10/2024 (MT Newswires) -- JanOne ( JAN ) said Friday it will issue almost 1.8 million shares and 34,207 shares of its Series B non-convertible, non-redeemable preferred stock to acquire blockchain financial technology provider ALT 5 Sigma and its subsidiaries.

ALT 5's transactional processing volume exceeded $1.1 billion in 2023, and over $450 million in Q1 2024, the company said. It expects to close the transaction next week.

Shares of JanOne ( JAN ) were up more than 7% in after-hours activity.
