TOKYO, Feb 4 (Reuters) - Japanese trading house Mitsui ( MITSF )

could consider studying a project to liquefy natural

gas in Alaska in the United States, Chief Financial Officer

Tetsuya Shigeta, said on Tuesday, adding that no decisions had

been made.

Shigeta also said he hoped that a planned meeting between

Japan's Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba and U.S. President Donald

Trump would be successful to enhance Japan's presence in the

United States.
