Japan's Seven & i to give up management buyout plan after Itochu withdraws, Yomiuri says

TOKYO, Feb 27 (Reuters) - Japan's Seven & i Holdings ( SVNDF )

is set to abandon a management buyout proposed by the

retailer's founding family after trading house Itochu ( ITOCF )

withdrew from participating in the plan, the Yomiuri newspaper

said on Thursday.

The retailer will decide the matter at a board meeting soon,

the newspaper reported, without citing sources.
