LONDON, Oct 2 (Reuters) - The chief executive of
Britain's JD Sports said he was "really happy" about
sportswear giant Nike's ( NKE ) appointment of veteran Elliott Hill as
president and CEO from Oct. 14.
"We are really happy having him back," JD's Chief Executive
Regis Schultz told reporters on Wednesday.
"It is good to have someone from the industry, someone who
knows Nike ( NKE ) and who knows all the products, so we are really
welcoming him back to Nike ( NKE )."
Asked about Nike's ( NKE ) withdrawal of its annual revenue forecast
on Tuesday, where it warned that the holiday season will likely
be filled with discounts, Schultz said he was not concerned.
"That's normal. He wants to review the guidance, I think
there is nothing specific to think about," he said.
