The registration process for Jio GigaFiber broadband connection will begin from August 15, reported Times Now.
According to the report, the service will be initially made available in 1,100 cities across the country with a speed of 1Gbps. The company has been testing the service for the past few months since the plan was announced by Mukesh Ambani during the last annual general meeting of Reliance Industries.

People interested in availing the service can register through the MyJio app and Jio website from August 15. The registration process, as per the report will be free of cost.
While no details about plans and prices have been announced by the company, the report said that users will have to pay a refundable amount of Rs. 4,500 upfront as security deposit prior to the installation. The report also added that the service could well be provided for free for the initial three months.
According to the report, the GigaTV set-top box will come with a voice-activated remote and will offer 600+ TV channels, free movies, and song.
