04:30 PM EDT, 05/27/2025 (MT Newswires) -- J.M. Smucker (SJM) plans to close its Indianapolis factory, which makes Hostess brand products, to consolidate operations into other facilities.

"This decision continues the ongoing work to ensure our manufacturing network is optimized to mitigate costs and reduce complexity in support of the execution of our sweet baked snacks strategy," Judd Freitag, general manager of the segment, said Tuesday in a statement.

The closure and possible sale of the factory is expected in early 2026.
